Anaheim Ducks signed Pavel Mintyukov to a new contract worth $36 million over five years, with an average annual value of $7.2 million.

The Associated Press material notes that the agreement was reached after the player’s three-year contract with the team expired, and that the Ducks have a new contract with Mintyukov. In AP’s account, Ducks did not disclose the contract details through the 2030-31 season, and the average annual value of the agreement is $7.2 million.

AP’s publication also indicates that Mintyukov would have been the Ducks’ agent for the first three seasons. During the first three NHL seasons, he played 204 games and recorded 17 goals and 52 assists. Mintyukov would have been the Ducks’ 10th player selected in the 2022 draft.

According to the terms of the contract, Mintyukov’s information is provided in the contract. In AP’s account, Karlsson signed a contract worth $90 million with Philadelphia Flyers, which Ducks have to pay in penalty; either by breaking the contract or by paying a penalty; the contract includes an option to terminate the agreement.

The Athletic material adds that Mintyukov’s extension for the 2024-25 season is expected to be a three-year contract. The Athletic also reports that in the 2024-25 season, Mintyukov will play on average for 18 minutes 26 seconds per game, with 112 blocked shots, after which the season ends early for him with the team.

The Athletic notes that the contract with Karlsson Flyers includes a clause that could allow Ducks to break the contract, which would mean that the player would have to leave the team, and that the clause would be activated if the player’s contract is terminated.
