Ukrainian drones hit an oil refinery plant in Russia’s Omsk Oblast, Reuters reported, citing a statement from the Ukrainian armed forces. According to the data of the agent, the attack was carried out using drones from a distance of about 2,500 kilometers from Ukrainian territory.

Reuters says that it is believed the Ukrainian missiles/drones strike targets using raids from a distance that was previously unknown during the war in Ukraine until 2022. In particular, this is due to the Russian regional air defense.

Omsk Oblast Governor Vitaly Khotsenko said on Telegram that several drones were shot down over the region, which is why the oil refinery plant was hit. Reuters also says that the oil refinery plant on the outskirts of Omsk was hit by the largest number of drones in Russia.

The material also states that the remaining missiles of the Ukrainian side were aimed at Russian oil refinery facilities, which, according to the data of the agent, in Ukraine’s view, are associated with the production of weapons and are also used in the war. In particular, it is said that three missiles were shot down by the AzS air defense system.
