Police are investigating a road-traffic incident involving the Motoristů Filip Turek group, in which Turek’s car collided with another vehicle on Prague’s central streets. According to the police, the investigation will focus on whether the driver’s actions were negligent; at the same time, the police say that at this stage they have not found any evidence that would allow them to confirm wrongdoing, and the medical examiner’s report is expected to be used.
The accident involved a 13-year-old child. The police said that, according to published information, Turek was driving when the collision occurred; the child’s injuries are being assessed. The police also noted that the driver is suspected of endangering health through negligence.
The spokesperson for the Czech police, Dva Kropáčková, said that the police investigation into the accident involving Filip Turek has been launched, and that the police have not yet determined any final conclusions. She added that Turek’s Facebook post about the accident was also reviewed, and that the police will continue to examine the case.
In a statement, the Czech police said that the investigation will focus on whether the driver’s actions were negligent and whether there is a causal link between the driver’s behavior and the injuries. The police also said that they will obtain and review additional evidence, including witness statements and medical reports.
According to the materials, the Czech NGO Andrej Babiš (ANO) said it would consider possible political consequences, and the Ministry of Interior said that Turek’s involvement in the incident has not been confirmed and that it will not affect the investigation.
