Ferrari has presented the Amalfi Spider — a convertible version of the Amalfi coupe. Based on the company’s lineup, the model is positioned as an “entry-level” Ferrari, with the brand’s first open-top offering in Greece since the Roma Spider.

Car and Driver says the Amalfi Spider uses a 10.3-inch digital multi-display system for the physical controls, and also comes with a compact. It also adds that the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox sends power to the 3.9-litre V-8 twin-turbo, which develops 631 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque.

Autocar, meanwhile, says the price of the Amalfi Spider is £27,000, and calls it a “rag-top version” of the standard Amalfi coupe. Autocar also notes that the car is “as easy to drive as possible” and that for new Ferrari buyers it won’t feel “intimidating” — at least not compared with the brand’s more hardcore offerings.

According to Car and Driver, the Amalfi Spider produces 631 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to reach 60 mph in less than 3 seconds, while the official 0-60 mph time is 3.2 seconds. The publication also says the car has a top speed of 199 mph, thanks to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Autocar says the electric powertrain has a different approach: with eight different driving modes, it can accelerate from 0 to 40 mph in 13.5 seconds. The publication also says the new Race mode, which replaces the “ferrvuro” electronic systems stability, was developed for the first time with the Roma Spider.

Top Gear also adds that the Spider weighs 70 kg less over the front axle, while its mass is 48:52. It also provides a breakdown of the turbo rev range: from 171,000 rpm for the 631bhp and 560lb ft, and how the active anti-lag system works with Manettino.

Top Gear also provides dynamic figures: 0-62 mph in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph. It also says the price is £27,260 — “as long as you don’t break the rules” — and that the standard equipment could be “worth the aboutskirts of £300k”.

Pricing for the new car is as follows: Autocar lists £27,000, Top Gear — £27,260, while Car and Driver says the base price is $300,000. Information on the differences between complete packages or exchange rates for the same materials is not provided.
