Russia plans a missile strike on the Voronezh region, using conventional and ballistic missiles, the Ukrainian side’s representative in the Golovnoe upravlinnya rozvidky Ukrainy (Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine) Andriy Chernnyak said. According to Reuters, the missiles are intended to hit at least 90 targets, and Russia plans to carry out the strike with the 112th brigade of the RF.

Chernnyak also said that the missile strike may involve up to 120 ballistic missiles and that the North Korean side would provide 40 missiles of the KN-23 and KN-24 types.

In a statement, Chernnyak said that the missile strike is expected to be carried out with a certain number of missiles, and that the missiles may be aimed at civilian targets.

Ukraine’s foreign minister, Andriy Sybiha, said that the missile strike is intended to violate international humanitarian law, which Russia violates by attacking civilians in Ukraine. He said that the missiles could be used to carry out the attack, and that Ukraine’s military would respond.

The materials also state that Russia has been using ballistic missiles against Ukraine since the end of 2023. According to the statement, the missiles of the new batch, 40 KN-23 and KN-24 missiles, were delivered by North Korea to Russia. The materials say the missiles are likely to be used to attack Ukrainian territory, including by striking civilian targets.

According to the Ukrainian side, the missiles KN-23 and KN-24 may have a longer range and be more accurate than previous Russian missiles. The materials also say that the missiles may have been supplied in part with components from abroad, and that the missiles are likely to be used against military and civilian targets.

Ukraine says that North Korea will provide Russia with conventional and ballistic missile systems, and that the delivery is intended to support Russia’s war against Ukraine.
