In a text published by the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr Congo conflict of interest has been said to have been raised by Adhanom Gebreyesus during a visit to Kinshasa, where Democatic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo) is located, claiming that he visited the country for the purpose of helping with the work of WHO partners. In the materials, it is also stated that Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) did not provide information about the involvement of medical professionals in the organization’s work. The Africa Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has said it will not comment on the report.
