Russia’s losses in Ukraine stand at 6, as of 6 September

As of 6 September 2026, Ukraine’s General Staff is reporting updated figures for Russian casualties in the war. The data are updated using information published by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine’s General Staff.

From 24 February 2022 to 6 September 2026, Russia has lost 1,454,210 personnel killed, with +1,330 additional deaths. Total losses also include: 12,246 (+4) tanks, 25,087 (+3) armoured combat vehicles, 47,455 (+59) artillery systems, 2,006 (+4) multiple-launch rocket systems, 1,547 (+7) anti-aircraft warfare systems, 439 aircraft, and 354 helicopters.

In addition, the General Staff reports that Russian forces have lost 2,138 (+4) unmanned aerial vehicles.

Parallel to this, the General Staff says that 5,000 combat clashes were recorded over the past day. The heaviest fighting was reported in the Pokrovsk sector.

According to the General Staff, Russian forces also lost two aircraft over the past day.
