Heat in Czechia: when the heatwave will end

In Czechia, after five straight days of hot weather, temperatures are expected to fall slightly. However, according to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), the temperature may still reach 34 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday, according to ČHMÚ, thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon, although the heat will continue. The meteorologists also noted that the temperature in the Czech Republic’s eastern regions could reach 34 degrees Celsius.

According to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, a temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius is expected in Prague, while in the Central Bohemian region the temperature could reach around 20 degrees Celsius. The warmest conditions are expected in Strážnice in South Moravia, where the thermometer could show 41 degrees Celsius; as the meteorologists said, a new record for Moravia could be set.

On Thursday, according to ČHMÚ, temperatures are expected to range from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius, and in South Moravia and on the coast they could reach up to 37 degrees Celsius. The outlook for Friday is that it will remain hot, with the maximum temperatures during the day ranging from 23 to 28 degrees Celsius, and in South Moravia the maximum could reach 30 degrees Celsius.

In the coming days, the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute also warns that strong thunderstorms can occur in Czechia and South Moravia.

Overall, according to the meteorologists, the temperature will range from 26 to 30 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, according to meteorologists, it will be mostly dry, although in the afternoon thunderstorms are forecast in parts of the country; temperatures will range from 27 to 32 degrees Celsius, with the highest values in South Moravia reaching up to 34 degrees Celsius.

At the same time, as meteorologists said, the heat will persist through the day, but temperatures will be lower than on previous days. On Monday, according to the forecast, it may rain in places, with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius.
